Dumitru Cornilescu was an Orthodox priest who later converted to Protestantism. He is the author of the first and most widely known Romanian translation of the Bible. Cornilescu made his translation in 1921 and it was published in 1928. This module features the original translation and not the newer, revised version, published in the late 1980's. Being a Protestant version of the Bible, Cornilescu's translation does not include those books considered as Apocrypha by most Protestant denominations. Among them are the books of Esdras, Baruch, Ecclesiasticus, both Maccabees books, and others. Thus, this version would be most suitable for you if you are a Protestant or a person interested in the Protestant faith. This module requires BibleMax core software, which you can download from the developer's site, along with many other Bible versions, as well as commentaries and reference materials. Also, please take into account that, although Romanian uses the Latin alphabet, it also uses special characters such as swung dashes, accents, diaeresis and other signs. Thus, you will need a font that supports all those characters in order to display this module appropriately.
